Lecture / Oral Presentations
Oral presentations are allotted 15 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for questions from the audience, with a total time slot of 20 minutes.
An LCD projector & computer (Windows 7, MS Powerpoint 2010 & Adobe Acrobat X) will be available in every session room for regular presentations. All the presentations will be uploaded before the sessions and will be available in the conference room. A computer is available in the room and the use of personal computer is not allowed.
Preparation of Visuals:
PLEASE NOTE THAT PRESENTERS MUST BRING A USB MEMORY STICK CONTAINING THEIR PRESENTATION and upload their files to the speakers room at least one hour before the beginning of the session with the help of the technical staff. Speakers are asked to check their presentation for compatibility and to have enough time to correct for any technical issues.
To avoid software compatibility problems (MS Powerpoint), speakers are advised to save their Powerpoint presentation as .ppt or .pptx file and/or a PDF-version.
To show a video we recommend the following rules: the video sequence should not exceed 2 min, the video must be embedded in Powerpoint, and however you can bring your video as a separate file (use a standard format compatible with VLC media player).
Slides are preferred in a 16:9 aspect ratio for compatibility with 1920×1080 projectors, but 4:3 format is also acceptable.
Leave space, at least the height of a capital letter, between lines of text.
All fonts, including that on graphs, should be 20 point or larger.
Graphs and charts should have bold lines and symbols that contrast sharply with the background. Thin, light lines can be lost on some projectors.
The poster board available to each presenter is large enough to fit an A0 poster:
- 90 cm (wide) x 120 cm (tall) (about 3 ft x 4 ft)
The format of the poster panel is portrait (height > width). We recommend to use the A0 format, but you are free to choose a single poster (or many smaller posters) that fit on the given panel size.
There is no specific template for poster. You are free to use your own template.
All posters should be placed on the poster boards as early as possible, preferably at the start of the conference but at the very latest on Thursday 11th May at 9 AM. The posters should be left on the poster boards for the whole duration of the conference.
The placement of your poster will be marked on the poster board where it will be presented with the paper ID as shown in the conference program. Material will be available for you to attach your poster (pins or tape).
Presenting authors are expected to be in front of their poster for the whole duration of the session scheduled on Thursday 11th May from 13:10 to 14:10 in front of the conference rooms.
On the title page of your presentation or on your poster you are kindly asked to use the official logo of ENC2017.

For presenting authors – please send a short biography through email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternately, you may submit your biography to the registration desk at the conference venue.
Please meet the chairperson before your session starts. The chairperson may require some information for introduction.
